You may be wondering…How long until I’m pain-free?
Posture correction takes time. The muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia need to be trained to move in their proper positions. You will need to consistently follow the exercises given to you between treatments in order for this to happen.
The good news is, it is possible to eliminate the pain you are feeling. Many of my clients have changed their pain by following a customized program.

So what can you expect with an appointment with Anna. The session can look something like this;
1. First you give a full history of past and present pain plus any other health concerns. Your goals are addressed to cater to what your needs may be. These can look like: “I want to decrease my back pain by strengthening my core and get more toned all around”, or “I want to lose 15lbs before my wedding this summer and do it without aggravating old injuries and learn some better nutrition habits”, or “I want to decrease my weight and get my body back after having 2 kids and letting myself get weak and out of shape,” or “my physiotherapist says I am ready to go to the gym again but I don’t know where to start”.
You will have your own reasons for seeking professional help so this is an important step.
2. I will look at postural alignment, core function, muscle strengths and weakness, do a Functional Movement Screen as well as a few other appropriate tests depending on your needs.
3. I will give you a few stretches, releases or exercises to get you started until I see you in a few weeks time.
4. You may also benefit from hands on massage type treatment and myofascial release depending if there is time and if its deemed helpful.
5. Now I formulate and write out a home or gym program designed to help you meet your goals.
6. You come back approximately 2-3 weeks later for your next session and review your progress and then teach you some new exercises.
7. Either you come in on a weekly basis and practice and improve on your exercises or you come in once a month to review and update your program. Sessions can be booked on an as needed basis as things are improving and I am here to help you to continue getting stronger and healthier.
From here we make sure that you are moving closer to attaining your goals and proceed accordingly. Its important to remember that maintaining your body is a life long journey. If your vehicle (your body) is running well, then everything else runs more smoothly too.
